Koblenz is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Start your holiday with the journey itself and enjoy fabulous views, fantastic sights, the beautiful nature, old walls and imposing castles on your train ride through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley or the Moselle Valley. The Loreley, Pfalzgrafenstein Castle, Marksburg Castle or Stolzenfels castle are just a few of the impressive sights along the way.

Koblenz can be reached from many starting points without changing trains! Whether you're starting your trip in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland or Austria—Koblenz is ideally connected to the rail network.

For an even more relaxed journey, you have the option of sending your luggage or bicycle separately via the Deutsche Bahn's luggage service.

You will find large luggage storage facilities at the Koblenz central station. The lockers in the Forum Mittelrhein are also suitable for rucksacks and handbags.

Cheap City Transit with the KoblenzCard

Cardholders can travel free of charge for 24 hours on buses within the city and receive numerous discounts, such as on the cable car or guided tours through the old town. You can obtain the KoblenzCard from the Tourist Information Office at Forum Confluentes.

Arrival by Car / Parking in Koblenz

There are 10 parking garages near the Koblenz city centre where you can park your car during your holiday. Parking spaces, on the other hand, are few and far between. For a relaxed and stress-free arrival, we recommend that seeking out a parking garage near your hotel in advance.

You will not need your car during your stay in Koblenz, as our city is ideal for pedestrians. The old town, historical churches and squares, Ehrenbreitstein fortress, the cable car, the Rhine promenade, the Electoral Palace, the Middle Rhine Museum and the Ludwig Museum are all easily accessible on foot. Stolzenfels castle, the Marksburg castle or the Eltz castle are easily accessible via boat, bus or train.
