Itinerary
Staycation Day 1 | Saturday Oct. 19, 2024

We leave our luggage at the hotel (check-in is only possible in the afternoon) and make our way to the Koblenz old town around 11:30 a.m..

Our day starts there with the guided tour "Koblenzer Genussgeschichten" (Koblenz Stories of Delight) and tells us about Koblenz' culinary specialties: from magnificent banquets and hot summer days with cold duck to Schrottele and Debbekooche. The tour ends at the "Kaffeewirtschaft" restaurant, where the Debbekooche will already be waiting for us.

Afterwards, a coffee tasting with Latscho Bohne awaits us. The young start-up places heavy emphasis on fair trade coffee, sustainability and full enjoyment! Experience the intense taste of high-quality coffee beans for yourself.

In the late afternoon, we will take the bus to the "Hähn" wine tavern in Koblenz-Güls, where we will first be welcomed with a bread tasting from the Gassen bakery. The family-run artisan bakery impresses guests with its passion for the art of baking and once again demonstrates the unique taste of traditional bread.

We then enjoy a wine tasting at the Hähn winery. We are guided through a tasting of 6 wines and learn all about the production of the quality-oriented wine, the taste and the history of the family business, which can look back on a winemaking tradition of more than four generations.

In the evening, we round off the first day of our holiday in our own city with a vintner's buffet at the Rieslinghof wine location.

Staycation Day 2 | Sunday Oct. 20, 2024

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we head to the "Sparkling Wine Museum" in the heart of Koblenz.

Here we learn interesting facts about the history of the Deinhard company, the work in the vineyard and the production of wine and sparkling wine. After the tour, we taste three different sparkling wines.

For lunch, we return to the vaulted cellar of the "Alt Koblenz" pub, where everyone can enjoy a plate of food in a stylish atmosphere in the heart of the old town.

We round off our vacation in our own city with a Kalten Ent—a Rhineland classic!

Our Staycation weekend ends here and you can pick up your luggage at the hotel*

Note: Please inform us at the time of booking if you prefer a vegetarian option and/or have any food intolerances.
