The "International Maritime Day" is celebrated worldwide on June 25. On this day, visitors to Koblenz have the opportunity to get to know the adventure exhibition at Forum Confluentes in a completely new and playful way: the ROMANTICUM invites you on a "captain's tour"!

During the tour, guests embark on an extraordinary journey through the ROMANTICUM: sofas talk here, armchairs read poems there and cameras tell stories of castles and palaces. A captain navigates young and old through the more than 70 interactive stations of the exhibition and offers exciting insights into the world of the Rhine and its eventful history.

The occasion for this special tour is the International Mariners' Daywhich is celebrated worldwide on June 25. It was established to honor the important role of seafarers in shipping and world trade and to raise awareness of the indispensable work of seafarers, which often takes place under difficult conditions and makes the majority of international goods traffic by sea possible.

The captain's tour lasts around 45 minutes and is a unique opportunity to explore the ROMANTICUM and its fascinating exhibits. It will take place on 25.06.2023 at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm and is free of charge for participants - however, regular admission to the ROMANTICUM must be paid.

Tickets for the captain's tours can be reserved at the Tourist Information at Forum Confluentes at Zentralplatz

The exhibition itself can be seen until 30.12.2023. Groups have the option of booking the captain's tour as a group tour during this period. The price for a group of up to 30 people is 85 euros plus the entrance fee.

The Romanticum has been permanently closed since 01.01.2024.
