End of summer on the Rhine: The Ufer Bar opens!

Summer is not over yet! Enjoy the last rays of sun with cool drinks and beat the autumn - this is best done from 11.9. to 3.10. at the castle steps on the banks of the Rhine. With the Ufer-Bar, the "late summer residence" of the Koblenz Tourist Board opens behind the Electoral Palace in cooperation with the Koblenz gastronomy and the project Kulturstufen.

The traditional pub Spökes will be serving beer in the Ufer-Bar, supported by Schiffchenbräu, the beer brand of Zum Schiffchen. The gastronomic offer ranges from regional wines to beer and soft drinks to tea - in case it should get a bit chilly. A colorful cultural program takes place two to three times a week. The well-known event series "Kulturstufen" goes into extension. Readings, unplugged concerts, tastings and board game evenings (in the tradition of the Spöke) invite you to visit the Ufer-Bar again and again. The pop-up bar opens daily through Oct. 3, as long as the weather cooperates.

In the past, the stone steps behind the Electoral Palace were rarely used for municipal events, explains Daniel Steiger, head of the Event Department at Koblenz-Touristik. With the event series Kulturstufen, which took place for the first time this year, and concepts such as the Ufer-Bar, this is now set to change. "The Schlossstufen really lend themselves as an event location. On the one hand, because of its central location, which is ideal for many Koblenz residents to reach after work. On the other hand, because there - in front of the unique Rhine backdrop - people passing by can also be encouraged to linger," Steiger continues.

Important for all guests: Due to the construction site at the Pfaffendorfer Bridge, the Ufer-Bar can only be reached via Stresemannstraße at the corner of Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer or through the passageway in the castle with a subsequent path through the castle garden.

Opening hours of the Ufer-Bar (only in good weather):
Mon-Thu: 5pm-2pm, Fri: 4pm-2pm
Sat: 4pm-2pm, Sun: 4pm-2pm
