Private Group Tour: The Path to Fortress History

Date on request | Duration: approx. 1 hour (1 km)

The Tour

The Ehrenbreitstein fortress, located on the rocky spur above the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Upper Middle Rhine Valley". The complex is part of a system of military fortifications around the city of Koblenz. It not only boasts 5,000 years of history, but also a magnificent panorama and a lively cultural centre with interesting exhibitions. You can spend several hours strolling through the complex. On the one-hour guided tour, you will experience how history comes to life at original historical sites, from Roman fortifications to knights' castles and Prussian fortifications: What would attack and defense have looked like at the fortress?
