Koblenz State Museum
Cultural and economic history, archaeology, photography and pleasure.
The Ehrenbreitstein Fortress Cultural Centre/Koblenz State Museum shows exhibitions in four halls focusing on photography, archaeology, viticulture and enjoyment as well as economic and cultural history.
The oldest exhibit can be found in the House of Archaeology. Together with the State Archaeology Koblenz, the State Museum presents here in a permanent exhibition traces of human life on the Middle Rhine and Moselle since prehistory and early history.
Exciting permanent and temporary exhibitions await visitors to the House of Cultural History in the upper courtyard of the castle. The annual exhibitions on topics such as technological, cultural and economic history are special highlights in the exhibition program of the Landesmuseum Koblenz.
The House of Photography enriches the program with numerous temporary exhibitions by national and international photographers.
In the House of Pleasure , the guest gets to know the "Wine Kingdom of Rhineland-Palatinate" as well as the special culinary delights of the state in the temporary exhibitions.
A diverse educational programme for young and old accompanies all exhibitions.
